Areas of Learning
“There are seven areas of learning that form the Foundation Phase curriculum. Emphasis has been placed on developing children’s knowledge, skills and understanding through experiential learning, - learning by doing and by solving real life problems both inside and outdoors.
The seven areas of learning are:
- Personal and Social Development, Well-Being and Cultural Diversity
- Knowledge and Understanding of the World
- Mathematical Development
- Language, Literacy and Communication Skills
- Welsh Language Development
- Physical Development
